Anyone from St. Croix- Need Route Directions

We will be in St. Croix on a Sunday from 8-5:30.

We would like to visit the Cruzan Rum Distillery (which is open from 10-2), Cane Bay for some snorkeling, and through the Rainforest, stopping at the Domino Club.

We are thinking of renting a car and would love some help figuring out the best routes to hit up all three.

Alternatively, is there any company that will let us set up a tour that includes these spots?

Thanks for any info!

I am not from St. Croix but have visited every year for the past 15 so have some knowledge of the island. I would think renting a car would be your best bet. Try contacting http://www.centerlinecarrentals.com or Judi's of St. Croix, both locally owned and highly recommended rental companies.

Driving on STX is in the left lane but it is very easy to get used to as the steering wheel is on the left as we US residents are used to. Signage on the island stinks so you are probably best to ask the rental agent for directions. It should not be that difficult to do the loop you are considering.

And while Cane Bay is a fun spot with several restaurants and bathrooms available, if you are travelling between November and April, you might want to consider grabbing a picnic to go and spend a few hours at Sandy Point (which is close to the pier). It is absolutely GORGEOUS and is the location where they filmed the final scene in The Shawshank Redemption.

Thanks!

We ended up booking a company to take us around, as there are several of us going.

Cheers,

Sounds great, digital_curator. Would you be willing to share the name of the company for the benefit of others visiting St. Croix in the future?
