What is a aft & hump cabin?

Recommended Posts

I'm sure somebody will give a much more detailed reply, but basically, aft cabins are those across the back of the ship. Lots of people like them because the balconies tend to be much larger with loungers as well as table/chairs, and you can sit and watch the ship's wake. Hump cabins are those in the centre of some ships (where the ship bulges out) - those cabins are prized because they are midship - less motion and closer to the action, so less walking. Depending on which you choose you may also benefit from a larger balcony too

Sue is correct in her description. In our 2 upcoming cruises, we have a hump on the Brilliance with a large balcony and an aft on the Grandeur with a huge balcony. If you desire one of these, you have to book early as they go quickly.
