How are rates selected???

I was just searching rates and found the rates to be different if I was signed into my VIFP account than they were if I was not signed in, but entered my number for past guest discounts. They were better rates if I was not signed in. This does not make sense. Anyone know why?????

I have found better rates when not signed in before also, but after following through all the way to just before booking, found that after upgrading to different decks and midship vs. aft vs forward, prices were generally cheaper for past guests.

Sometimes, past guest discount is in the form of upgrades vs. $$$ savings. If you like being on upper decks ( as we prefer), that it is often cheaper to book with VIFP rates.
