Alaska Southbound - Port or Starboard ?

We are planning an Alaskan Cruise from Seaward to Vancouver in September.

We are thinking of a balcony stateroom on deck 9 of Norwegian Sun. Which side of the ship will be best...Port or Starboard?

Any other advice ?

Thanks for the help

Well, knowing that port is LEFT I would chance to guess you would see more land-scapes from the port. But if you go into Glacier Bay or other bays/arms, both sides are good and the starboard will have more "wild" views in the Inland Passage as the cities (towns) tend to be on the continent side. Marine mammals may be sighted from either side.

You really can't go wrong -- heck we had an inside on HAL Statendam and saw most everything from either the rail or the buffet's overhanging windows!
