Cabin availablity check?

Besides calling and being put on hold, not to mention bugging the booking agents, HOW does one check cabin availability? I keep reading that folks are "keeping an eye on it" or checking and finding or discovering better cabins. Just how are they doing this? I do not see anywhere to find this out. Thank you in advance.

Just go to an online booking site do a fake booking. The one I use(were not allowed to say on here.) shows all available cabins in every category. Its easy just don't click on pay and no harm no fowl.
