Hi-we will be stopping in Cozumel next week and plan to meet a friend who is also vacationing there that week. We would like to hang out at a beach, which beach would be the most fun for our families or which is nicer, looking at either Nachi Cocom or Mr Sanchos?? Is either easier to get to from the cruise port? Should we just take a taxi to and from???? Any info on either would be very helpful. Thanks!!!

It really depends on what type of beach day you want and how old the kids are. Nachi Cocom is more quiet, only allows 100 people so not crowded, and doesn't have water toys (well, they have one large water trampoline the kids can play on). It is an all inclusive, so all drinks and 4 course meal are included in your price. Mr. Sanchos is more crowded, a little louder party scene, and has large floating water toys that look great for bigger kids but might be difficult for little kids. They have a pay as you go plan or all inclusive. We prefer Nachi since our kids are little and can't use the water toys at Sanchos...and we love the peaceful beach day! But teens would probably get bored.

Do either of these beaches have good snorkeling?

Not really...you'll likely see a few small fish, crab or we even saw a small stingray at Nachi in November but typically these beach clubs are more "sandy" and you want rocky for better snorkel. Chaunkannaub or playa Palancar would be better.

I have a review in my signature link with tons of pictures of our day at Nachi last year.

If you click on my Jewel review in my signature and go to around page #20 around post #395, you will find a complete review on Mr Sanchos with tons of pictures as well. :)

Mr Sanchos comes first on the way from the cruise port and then next door in Nanchi Cocom.
