Agree with both Pam and Mura.

IMO, a cruise visit to Israel works best as a "return" visit to either revisit some special places or to do things you didn't get to do on your prior trip (as well as seeing some inevitable changes from your last visit).

That is how we looked at our 3 1/2 days in Israel with Nautica. It is a shame it didn't come to pass. Now we'll have to plan to do it again and I much prefer to do it as a cruise visit rather than a repeat land trip - just to revisit a few special places for which a short trip works just fine (understanding and accepting that last minute events can prevent the ship from stopping there again).

While I am not Pam, the Devil's Advocate in me wishes to answer you :D:

Monaco, Albania, Reunion, Maldives, Mozambique, Angola, Ivory Coast, Benin, Mauritius, Sri Lanka (maybe 2 days :)), Cape Verde, Tonga, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Brunei, Qatar, Senegal, Gibraltar and just about all of the Caribbean countries - should I go on? :)

Lol. I could add even more

We did our first Israel trip on Nautical and spent 3 days total docked in Ashdod and Haifa. It was far too brief but we ran and saw a lot of the country north to south. We were able to see as much as we did by spending 1 night in Jerusalem and using an outstanding tour guide, Martin Stein. He has lived in Israel since the late '80s, having moved from South Africa. He will tailor his tours to what you want to do and where you want to go. There were 6 of us in a very comfortable van. Like all tours guides in Israel, he was very knowledgable, but he also was very accommodating and a pleasure to be with. I would highly recommend him. His web is topisraelguides.com.
