Price drop on princess

I recently posted that i found a better deal on a travel website on our ruby cruise feb 10-15th. I contacted our ta and she said it was a flash sale and there was nothing she could do. I checked today on Princess's website and the cruise was just lowered today $30 per person(4 of us). I contacted my ta and told her Princess just lowered the fare on their own website and she said this is just a flash sale also so there is nothing she can do. Is this correct or is it time for a new ta?

Most likely, it's a flash sale for new bookings only. You could cancel, lose whatever percentage of the cruise fare term you're in, and rebook. If you have "cancel for any reason" insurance, you can submit a claim for the remainder of the fare you paid minus the cost of cruise insurance. Of course, you'd lose your cabin and dining preference if that's Traditional Dining. If that hassle is worth $30 to you, go for it! Edited January 10, 2014 by Pam in CA

Well it would be 120 for the 4 of us plus another 30 in onboard credits but i think you are right that its not worth the hassle.
