Brisbane Transport

I am booked on a Pacific Dawn cruise which leaves Brisbane at 2pm. I have to fly from Newcastle to Brisbane to join the ship. Is there a shuttle bus from Brisbane airport to the cruise ship terminal, or am I better off catching a taxi?

There are no specific shuttles in Bne. Even in Sydney there are only the ones provided by the cruise lines.

 

The airport is not far from Portside, where the PD will depart from, so a cab is best bet.

 

Remember that most cabs have limited boot space, as they have a LPG tank installed, so they only have enough luggage room as a small car....that said more and more we are seeing the Toyota Prius cabs puttering around. Try and get a station wagon.

If it is two people with standard airline luggage allowance, it will fit easily in the hatch of a Prius. I have had 4 people and luggage off a cruise in one.

I think that , unless you have friends in Brisbane, you will very much be limited to a taxi to the Portside terminal --probably around $25 from the airport.

Thanks all for responses. I'm on my own and am only doing a 7 night cruise, so won't have a lot of luggage. Thought taxi might have been the way to go but wanted to check.
