Liberty of the Seas - a few questions

What's the first thing you do when you board? Where do you go for lunch? Also, is it important to make reservations for the shows? Missed that part, so what do we do? Will we be able to get in?

TIA

For lunch, you can to to Windjammer (buffet), Cafe Promenade (small sandwiches), or Sorrento's (pizza). All of these are complimentary.

The only show that has reservations is the ice show. You can probably get in by going to the standby line before the show.

The Liberty is a great ship- been on her twice...cabins usually ready at 1 or 1:30 PM....As Clarea said, you have 3 options for lunch..WJ will be the most crowded, but has the most selections. After you eat you should tour the ship ( if cabins are ready, go to them , put stuff down and go tour!!)..you should see:

1) Royal Promenade on deck 5- this is the heart of the ship..parades at night, action most of the day & night.. go up & down this area a few times, lots to do & see..entrance to main theater is on this deck & decks 3 & 4..

2) Pool deck is on deck 11..there are 3 pools: main pool, kids pool ( H20 Fun Zone) and the Adult Solarium ( don't MISS sitting in the canti-levered hot tubs that stick out!)..

3) Flowrider ( surf simulator) at back( aft) on deck 13 along with the sports areas..

4) Viking Crown Lounge- deck 14- great place for soft music & drinks

5) On deck 4 you will find the casino, Boleros ( latin dancing) and the Schooner Bar, a fav for piano music, trivia and more- great bar!

6) Deck 3 is Studio B, where the ice skating shows are- don't miss them, terrific shows! Try & make reservations ASAP...

7) Chops & Portifinos on deck 11 for a great meal next to Windjammers...they cost $20-30 PP but well worth it IMO...

8) Johnny Rockets at back of deck 12..waiters dance for you & great shakes & burgers, fries for only $3.50 all you can eat....

9) Spa is on deck 11 & 12

Any more questions fire away....when do you go?

I sail out on Saturday. Any recommendations on where to go for the best view of the Sail Away?

Helicopter pad, deck 5, all the way forward. Go out to the outside promenade on deck 4 and just keep going forward, up stairs.

Any other tips you can give me? Sounds like you are very knowledgeable. Also, what are the options for breakfast and lunch?

Breakfast: Windjammer (buffet), Main Dining Room

Lunch: Windjammer (buffet), Main Dining Room (sea days only), Johnny Rockets ($4.95 per person), Promenade Cafe (free), Sorrento's (free).

Great Bob, what else can you tell me about the Liberty ship. I've only been on Carnival, so RC is new to me.

Here's the web page:

I can't add any more than Big Al covered back in post #3. That was an excellent summary.
