party platters/trays from the Fun Shops

I would love to get some opinions on the party platters that you can order online.

We have never ordered one before.

Do they look like the photos in real life or are they a bit disappointing?

Recently someone posted a review and they had a photo of the canapé tray. I believe it was the largest size and they said it was wonderful and HUGE. They ended up giving away half the appetizers.

Their photo was pretty much the same as on the site.

I ordered the canape tray as a surprise for my DM. They were DELICIOUS!

 

Great presentation, great taste. But beware of the size. We were stuffed after having some with pre-dinner drinks.

So we ended up skipping dinner.

Not sure if thre trays are for yourselves or if you are having a cocktail party. If it's the latter, keep in mind you can order foodies from room service that can be used as party trays.

 

For instance, on one of our roll calls we did a cabin crawl. We wanted to have a little set out for our mates. We brought some bags of candy, some decorations from the dollar store (tropical) and had the 2 bottles of wine (brought onboard) uncorked and iced in a bucket that we bummed from a bartender up on the lido. We also ordered 2 plates of chips and 2 plates of pretzels (they're small), 12 choc chip cookies, and 4 dishes of veggies w/ ranch and blue cheese dip (small also)..all from room service. :)

 

We had a NICE set out! :D

I have seen to many times room service does not get our order exactly right so figure if we do it ourselves have noone else to blame.

We were mostly looking at the assorted pastries tray for a birthday celebration

We ordered the pastry tray last cruise and enjoyed it very much. We just ordered the smallest one because there were just two of us. Pieces were quite large so much more than we needed.
