Lost and Found Question - Daughter Heartbroken

I left a pair of casual shoes under the bed. Called within a few hours, and the the next morning. Nothing. I do think the crew considers it a perk. And this was shoes!

I was told it goes into a kind of lost and found for guests when lost luggage doesn't make it to the ship.

I'd hate to think this paticular cabin steward ended up with my handbag...she just about pulled us by the hair out of our cabin at 7:00 a.m. on disembarkation day. She was awful.....many many years ago on the Zenith.

We laugh now at how she would just walk in (even with do not disturb sign) asking when we were getting out of the room so she could clean

She announced to everyone on our floor how the cabin next to us was giving her the day off from cleaning their room (HINT HINT)

How one cabin gave her an extra $10 a day on their pillow for such a wonderful job she was doing.

She statred banging on the doors at 6:00 am to tell everyone we were docked.

It was the oddest (rudest) stateroom attendent we've ever encountered.

Twice, I left things on the ship. (I know, I know) I did not get anything returned even though both times I contacted the cruise line and the ship directly within two hours of vacating the cabin. It seems that whatever is left onboard is considered fair game.

Sorry.

My friend left $16,000 in cash in her stateroom and got it back.......

How on earth could that happen??? How could you 'forget' $16,000?

A guy I work with was at a diner . Went to the men's room , went to pull a paper towel out of the holder on the wall. All the towels slid out of the holder and went all over the floor along with an envelope with $5000 in $100 bills that was tucked up inside the holder.

Left it in the safe.... Steward returned it when he found it.....

Many many people used to take money out of the casinio for double points on their Royal Caribbean credit card....so many that they stopped allowing people to take cash for free in the casino......... Take it out get the points and then pay the card........ But that was a close call......

All,

We were on the Silhouette from January 5th through the 12th. When we got home, my teenage daughter realized that she didn't have her expensive Canon camera -- the one with MOST OF OUR VACATION PICTURES. :(

Suffice to say, she was slightly upset. We called customer service, and they said that it would take a while to figure out their lost and found inventory from the trip.

My question is this: Is there ANY CHANCE, that Celebrity may save the day and get her camera back? Thanks

Sedge Man, welcome to Cruise Critic, sorry for reason for the post. Suggestion for future trips, I take my electronics and put label tape on it with my email address. I had my phone number on my luggage and had left in on the transport to the port. I received a call from the driver to come and get my bag. I'm glad I did it. It could go either way with getting the camera back, I hope that you do.
