Hello.... we are a family of four that plans on going to Moho beach to watch the planes and enjoy the beach. We would like to take the water taxi and the bus to there. We have been to this port many times but never took the water taxi or the bus. We do know where the water taxi boards but have no idea where to get the bus to Maho once off the taxi. Can anyone give us some really good instructions to get to where the bus would pick us up? We would prefer this option over getting a taxi there. Thanks

You can take a taxi/van right from where the ships dock to Maho Beach. We just did this in December. Good Luck....Enjoy:D

Once you get off the water taxi, go to the couthouse. You can ask someone how to get there, it's maybe 3 blocks. Walk one more street in the direction away from the beach to the street behind the courthouse. Look for minivans with signs in the window. Take one that says Maho. Cost was $2 per person when we did it last year.

Take the water taxi to the stop that is toward the middle of the bay not the stop that is next to the marina and closer to the cruise ships. When you get off of the water taxi walk straight back toward the town hall. You will cross Front Street and come to Back Street. That is where the buses are. Just look for one that has a sign that says "Maho-Phillipsburg" in the window. It will cost $2.00 pp each way.

Hi Finch12,

The buses (actually vans) leave from Philipsburg, you will see them

with signs in the window that say "Maho" or "Mullet/MLT".

You would get the outbound buses on the second street back from the

waterfront (Back street I think). It will cost $2 per person.

Here is a video

Cheers,

We were there in December. We walked into town (about a 20 minute walk and walked to Back Street behind the courthouse. Its the street where all the jewelry stores are. There's a van (they call it a bus) that makes stops and it says Maho Beach in the window. You get off the next to last stop and cost $2.00. Its a 15 minute drive. To get back we picked up another van where the first one let us off.

Make sure that what you are getting in is really the bus. The drive up for us was super cheap, but we neglected to ask about pricing for our trip back. Whoops.

However, Maho Beach is one of my favorite spots in the caribbean. It is awesome!!!!
