NS-Cruiser Posted January 22, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2014 One of our party is celebrating a milestone birthday on our upcoming cruise. How do I organise a birthday cake for him.....or should I just buy one and carry it on? Just go to the "candy shop" on board and order it... They will deliver it when and where you want on the ship. They are pretty tasty too! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Carnival_Brides Posted January 22, 2014 #9 Share Posted January 22, 2014 FWIW--you can't carry a birthday cake onboard. We had a cake decorator on my last cruise who started to take orders and then found out she couldn't get them on board. You can also order ahead of time through the BV shop online. irishnyc Posted January 22, 2014 #10 Share Posted January 22, 2014 We ordered one on board for DD. I just trusted doing it in person over via BV. We got the chocolate one and it was fantastic.
Ms. Fun Bunch Posted January 23, 2014 #11 Share Posted January 23, 2014 I always pre-order via the Fun Shop, both cakes are really good but the chocolate one is my favorite!
ccruisequeen Posted January 23, 2014 #12 Share Posted January 23, 2014 If you order them through the Funshop you should speak to them on the phone to confirm delivery date. I've seen reports that the internet orders only deliver the first night. Sent from my iPod

Happy Sailing!!! Very convenient, and not too bad of a price. Bummer that it looks like it's not customizable at all. Just the standard Happy B-day message. Oh well, we would be ordering it for our son who turns 3.
CruisinMenika Posted January 23, 2014 #15 Share Posted January 23, 2014 If you order it onboard at Formalities, they will customize it for you.

Just the standard Happy B-day message. Oh well, we would be ordering it for our son who turns 3. How did you want it customized? We were on a cruise for my niece's 5th birthday last summer and were able to order the cake with the standard "Happy Birthday, Name", but then were able to put Little Mermaid figures from the Disney Store on it when the waiter brought it out at dinner. She loved it. http://www.disneystore.com/disney/store/DSISearch?Searchstr=Figure+Play+Sets&storeId=10051&catalogId=10002&langId=-1&pageCmdName=homeLandingPage&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&N=0&Nu=pProductID&Nr=pPublished%3a1&Ntk=All_Shopping&Ntt=Figure+Play+Sets&D=Figure+Play+Sets&Dr=pPublished%3a1&typeAhead=

The cake was just OK, IMO. But the waiters made him feel special:)
