shipfriend_max Posted January 27, 2015 #3676 Share Posted January 27, 2015 (edited) Pretty sure Brilliance already does that . Sent from my iPhone using Forums Several cruise lists for 2016 state that Brilliance is going to do the 12 night sailings from Barcelona, fitting in for Vision in 2016. Vision, however is rumored to do Alaska and Australia/NZ in 2016, and a replacement for Harwich is needed - Jewel is the most likely option, IMHO... Sent from my iPhone using Forums That's interesting to know - but maybe, however, RCI sends Navigtor to Asia/Australia one year later... I could imagine a similar deployment for Navigator in 2016, as scheduled for Explorer in 2015 - Europe from Southampton between may and Oct, than Suez Canal/Middle East, than Far East and/or Australia. I cannot imagine which Caribbean cruises Navigator might do from April 2016, however...

shipfriend_max Posted January 27, 2015 #3685 Share Posted January 27, 2015 (edited) Celebrity_fan, is St. Maarten the only port schedule that you know of that releases things this early? Yeah... Sadly only St Maarten releases its expected calls that early in advance, at least among Caribbean ports... Other ports releasing early and listing calls for 2016, are: -Portland, Maine, USA -Los Angeles, USA (Ports America) -Le Havre, France -Copenhagen, Denmark -several Norwegian ports... -Cannes, Villefranche in France, Monaco -Rome, Italy Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app Edited January 27, 2015 by celebrity_fan
OfTheSeasCruiser Posted January 27, 2015 #3686 Share Posted January 27, 2015 (edited) Thank you... Good to know. I just took a look at the Portland, Maine schedule. I'm guessing the "RESERVED" is Anthem? I wonder why Grandeur of the Seas is listed for 5/29 and 6/26? That's an odd time for her to be visiting the Canada/New England area.. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app I've always found this so interesting. I wonder if the cruise lines have to reserve St.M earlier than other ports, or if they're all reserved around a similar time but most choose not to post their schedule as far out. Sent from my iPhone using Cruise Critic Forums mobile app IMHO latter would be the case, that only St Maarten releases its schedule so far out, while others don't... Would be great, however if others released the schedules early as well, since we had more clearity about the expected deployment... MADflyer Posted January 28, 2015 #3689 Share Posted January 28, 2015 Based on the port information from George Town, Grand Cayman I am able to make some predictions for 2016-2017 deployment. Freedom should remain year-round from Port Canaveral, Florida with calls every other week at Grand Cayman through April 27th, 2017. Navigator will be re-deployed and leave Galveston at the end of April, 2016. Brilliance will return to home port Tampa and continue similar sailings as from the 2015-2016 season. Liberty of the Seas should be based in Galveston from May, 2016. She is scheduled in Grand Cayman well into 2018. Independence of the Seas should be based at Cape Liberty in Bayonne, NJ from May to October of 2016. Anthem of the Seas should cross over to Southampton for the summer of 2016 and she should return to Cape Liberty in Bayonne, NJ from November, 2016 and is booked through April 2017. Grandeur of the Seas is not booked to continue with calls at Grand Cayman after April, 2016 at this time. It is unclear if this represents a potential re-positioning or just alteration to the itineraries out of Baltimore. The Independence move for the Summer could indicate that Port Everglades has another ship if clues still indicate that Allure will cross over to Europe for summer 2016, possibly Oasis III. The Liberty and Indy potential re-positioning will create a couple of interesting sailings from Bayonne Cape Liberty to Galveston for Liberty and from Port Everglades to Bayonne Cape Liberty for Indy. Indy would then have a fall repositioning sailing as well, possibly to a Florida winter home port when Anthem returns.
MADflyer Posted January 28, 2015 #3690 Share Posted January 28, 2015 Sorry about that. I was off on some of that in the previous post. I forgot that Navigator and Liberty were already moved around prior to that. I guess the INDY, Freedom and Anthem information might be of value. Tall-Cruiser Posted January 28, 2015 #3691 Share Posted January 28, 2015 MADFlyer - So what are your thoughts on the calls mentioned a few posting above about Freedom in St. Maarten? Also what about the rumor that Freedom will move to San Juan? Other observation, you note that Anthem will return to South Hampton during summer 2016. Does that then mean Ovation to NJ or Florida? Recall Ovation will be delivered around May 2016.

Liberty Is already scheduled as going to Galveston in the fall of 2015 after doing the Bermuda runs from Bayonne. Navigator is already scheduled in FLL from fall 2015 taking over the 6/8 day itinerary runs that the Indy has been doing. So if the talk is that Oasis is going to PC and we know that they won't tender off the Oasis does this mean that Freedom stays, Enchantment replaces Majesty and Oasis takes over the 3/4 day runs out of PC? Tall-Cruiser Posted January 28, 2015 #3694 Share Posted January 28, 2015 The only issue I see in Freedom being a placehoder for Oasis (class) with respect to Grand Cayman is that Oasis Class ships thus far dont call on Grand Cayman and dont tender at any ports. As Freedom is scheduled for Grand Cayman and that port is usually not on itineraries out of SJ, I would think she stays in PC. This only represents Freedom western itineraries every other week. She would do eastern the other weeks. I maybe got crossed up as Liberty and Navigator moves were not fresh on my mind and I missed that. Here is the link for Grand Cayman and you can search by each ship and see a list of all dates each ship calls. I will post Freedom in the next post. http://www.caymanport.com/shipschedules.php
