Deployment schedule: let the guessing begin!

Recommended Posts

I was told a vision class ship to NOLA from the C&A/NextCruise lady on the ship, but right now it's all up in the air and we will just have to wait. Vision & Brilliance both showing late fall & early winter 2015 on Grand Cayman so either both will be in Tampa again or one will go to NOLA perhaps.

I think Royal should do something similar to what Carnival did with Triumph and throw in a few new itineraries for those in the South. How many times can one person visit Cozumel?

Not sure about Vision, but Brilliance will definitely be back in Tampa. We and a number of others are already booked on the October 25, 2015 repositioning cruise that will take her back there from Boston.:)

NO

That email from Royal said this to Oz Crown and Anchor members.

Royal Caribbean's South Pacific, Australia and New Zealand 2015-16 cruise season will be on sale from Tuesday 29 April 2014.

Thank you for sharing was curious since the flyer didn't have a specific date on it.

Do you think this will include the Honolulu to Sydney repo also?

Yes, these will probably be all on sale at the same time as Aus/NZ

Based on Grand Cayman port times, I am wondering if Vision returns for only a few sailings from Tampa and then moves.

My prediction for where she could move is based solely on port times. 10AM to 6PM calls are consistent with 5 and 7 night Tampa sailings.

8AM to 4PM calls are consistent historically with calls of ships from Port Canaveral, but could work for a NOLA sailing or any sailing where the call is positioned with a call between Falmouth and Cozumel/Costa Maya.

This move would allow for a Holiday sailing on the 21 December, 2015 when Vision would move.

Based on Grand Cayman port times it would seem that Brilliance might remain in Tampa and do a series of 5 and 7 day cruises.

A 7 night Tampa cruise normally calls on GC from 10 AM to 6 PM. A 5 day sometimes calls from 7AM to 3:30 PM

This would create a pattern of days like 5day/7day/5day /5day /7day / 5day and so on....

If they keep that Cayman schedule Panama Canal sailings would work for February and March. That fits as Serenade seems to have only taken the Southern Caribbean sailings that Legend was doing.

Explorer of the Seas revitalization and re-fit schedule to take place in Cadiz, Spain.

Merion Mom is onboard the ship now and reported that there would not be a revenue TA and work would begin on the way to Cadiz with the first sailing as currently scheduled from Southampton.

Also reports that they have no word onboard of the potential Asia deployment.

Is this official or just rumors?

Is this official or just rumors?

Merion Mom reported it from lunch with officers onboard Explorer. I have met her onboard the Oasis last year and count her as a very reliable source.

It fits with the deck plan schedule on their own website.

RCI have promised a press release on exact plans at a later date. Oddly they have been silent about the email in Australia, but the blog did pick up on it.

How did the majesty get another season; enough already, time to replace with a voyager class ship already.

I would bet that it is a 'business decision' to keep Her Majesty doing her 3/4 day itineraries.....and until they are ready to move her to one of their other business lines, won't do it.

Even when she is retired from the Royal fleet, it probably won't be a Voyager Class (although that would be wonderful to me). Many speculate it will be one of the Vision class ships similar to Enchantment.

Majesty can still give cruisers a wonderful cruising experience and lots of fun....I have enjoyed cruising on her, 10 times and will again before she is retired.

A vision class ship would simply position them against ncl a little better since the sky is the best ship doing that itinerary, if liberty could do 4/5 day surely voyager could do 3/4 day.

Regretfully, I have to agree. Majesty was a great ship in her day and we have fond memories of her, but its past time for her to go. She just can't hold a candle to the other Royal Caribbean ships and the cabins are unbearably small.

At this point, I would pay substantially more for a more modern ship.

You never know what is rumor or not. Two weeks ago officers talked about about an Explorer deployment to Asia.

Exactly. Sometimes the officers are the last to know (along with the rest of us).

I don't believe anything until I see a press release.

Or they know that we talk to one another and delight in their ability to spread rumors and misinformation.:D

Hoping to hear more of Liberty going to Galveston, if that is true, we'll have to reschedule our March 2015 Navigator plans for later in the year on Liberty.

Me too!! I'm so eager to get my next cruise booked and I'm REALLY hoping it's Liberty!
