Rare uktog Posted July 19, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 19, 2005 Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this may affect some peoples plans in the coming weeks The local buses in Edinburgh are currently in industrial dispute. More details on http://www.lothianbuses.co.uk/ This means if they are not on strike they are working a very reduced Sunday type service. Not only does this impact anyone wishing to use the buses, it makes locating a taxi very tricky indeed believe me - yesterday was the first day and the only winners were the cabbies! Mc_Cruiser Posted August 18, 2005 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2005 Looks like this has been resolved: INDUSTRIAL ACTION & STRIKES SUSPENDED. A Saturday service will continue to operate from Monday 8 August until Friday 12 August with extra buses (especially at peak times). In addition, 20 & X47 will run a holiday service, and 45 will run a normal Monday to Friday service. From Saturday 13 August, full normal service will resume
