How big of luggage can you have onboard. I was thinking of getting a 28 in, suitcase.....too big or does it matter?

Sailed NCL last year. We both checked a 28" with no problem. Any bags you carry on must go through screening machine like at airport..our 21" went through with no problem.

NCL states official limits, which are fairly well in line with Airline limits, but I don't think anyone has ever experienced any restriction in practice.

That is the size we use. No problem. We give it to a porter.

We've never had trouble fitting it empty under the bed.

We have a 28". The only problem we have with it is it quickly becoming very heavy. If you fly, you can exceed 50 lbs easily. Although NCL doesn't enforce the 50 lb weight limit, do be aware that this heavy luggage has to be hand delivered by the sometimes not very big cabin stewards. I carry baggage scales now to monitor the weight.

28" is somewhat normal size for checked bags. It can get to over 50 lbs, so if flying watch it.

 

The cruiseship will take just about anything you give them. If you can not lift it, then get another suitcase.

Mine are 30 and we had no troubles with airline or ship! Dowatch the weight though, we fly spirit and 40 lbs is the max!
