I am going to be booking a cruise on the splendor for June. I have only been on the carnival miracle many times and this is the first time on the splendor. I am not sure if I should book a room on deck 6, 7 or 8. Do you have any recommendations from your own experience?

I would choose deck 7 because it has cabins above and below. Deck 6 has public areas below that might be loud and Deck 8 has the Lido deck above which can also be loud (scraping chairs for example). If you choose Deck 8 choose a forward cabin so you have cabins above and below you.

I've not been on the smaller ships, so with the mid to large ones, I almost always book deck 7 because of the noise issues (I've been on the lido deck once and was in the front, so very little noise there). Though on our last one, the people next door were rather loud when in their cabin.

I have had deck 7 and 8 on the Splendor aft and both were good. My room on deck 8 was right below the deli but there was very little noise and at night virtually none as the back deck gets deserted. I liked deck 8 because it was one short flight of stairs to the lido deck and all the ice I wanted from the buffet. Also quick trip to the aft adult pool and lido liner bar :D

In November we had room 6383 on the Splendor which is one deck up right next to the stairs outside the casino and loved the location. The only thing is if you go to bed early you will hear the band that plays next to the casino till 11:30 the latest. It never bothered us at all and we booked the same room for april

This is very helpful to me. Thank you all! I am trying to book something in the center of the ship. I tend to get sea sick sometimes and they say it's better to stay center than front or back. Who knows really!

We booked deck 7 (Empress Deck) for our Feb. 2015 cruise because we like the idea of rooms above and below - less chance of any noise.
