Cabin storage on S. Galapagos

I have read several times about storage problems on the S. Galapagos. Is it because the bed is very low or is it on a pedestal? Just packing now and wondering what we will be facing onboard.

The sides of the beds are closed off so nothing can be stored underneath. We put our suitcases in the closets, and that worked pretty well. A couple pairs of shoes ended were placed under the coffee table.

Thanks- that explains it all. Silly of them to do that- every bit of storage helps-perhaps Silversea will correct that when they do the rest of the makeover.

there are two drawers at the end of the bed where you can store shoes, socks, but not suitcases.

After you unpack, just ask your butler to store your bags. He took them and returned them the following Friday before dinner.

Now having been there, the storage is not overly generous but not bad. 2 drawers under the end of the beds, several (3?) drawers, the two closets, two drawers under the closets, and in addition we put suitcases in the closet marked life jackets. There are actually a fair number of rather deep shelves there which are only semi-used. Not the ones with the life jackets themselves but under them. Our butler had an extra blanket or two stored in them which we didn't need so were able to use that space.
