Just booked her for feb 9-14 2015. I think I was spoiled by the Conquest and will be on a smaler ship.

Don't go expecting the Conquest. She's smaller, older, and relegated to short, inexpensive cruises out of a drive to port. She attracts loyal frequent cruisers as well as many first timers looking for an inexpensive getaway. As long as you go with realistic expectations and understand what she's about, you should have a very enjoyable time.

We went from the Dream to the Paradise last year and it was almost "culture shock" at first... But once you realize the ship is about half the size, you realize you have about half the people. We have also found the staff on the smaller ships to be the very best. Not that we are not happy with the staff on the bigger ships, sometimes they just seem more stressed because they have more people to tend to. That's why we try to engage them when we get a chance, you know, really talk to them.

I love the smaller ships too, just got off the Imagination January 6th and still love her (yes she is showing her age a bit) but still loads of fun for short cheap cruise getaway. We love love love the 8night 9 day cruise we just booked for Sept13,2014 of the Breeze (been on the Dream before and loved it). Completely different from each other , unfair to compare them at all!! The smaller ships have their place in the cruising world . Often we can't get away for the long 8 night cruise so we get our quick cruise fix with the short 3 night 4 day cruises and still have a GREAT time!!!!

It will definitely be different from the Conquest but by no means less fun.
