Monte Carlo or Nice

Looking for some advice from someone with experience. I'm disembarking at Monte Carlo in late September with a flight out from Nice the next morning. Wondering whether to stay in Monte Carlo for the night and find an early ride to the airport. Or, stay closer to the airport in Nice. Any opinions?

We think you have summed it up well. If your flight is really early you might find Nice more convenient. Knowing this region quite well we would probably base our decision on where we wanted to have dinner! I know that sounds strange, but DW and I find dining in France a fun experience and will often give a lot of thought to that issue.

Hotels are likely to be more expensive in Monaco and the proximity to the airport in Nice is a plus. I find Nice to be a nicer place to Roam than Monaco-ville. I would head to Nice.

Thanks for the responses. With an 8:30am flight, I think I'm going to stay in Nice. Any hotel recommendations? Also, is a taxi the best way to get to Nice from Monaco?
