Water taxi help

After arriving back in FL after our cruise, we will have the day to explore FL before flying out that evening. Part of our group will be staying at the Hampton Inn North Cruise Port that night so we will be going there first to drop off luggage before heading out to the Water Taxi.

First of all, what is the best way for us to get to the Hampton Inn from the cruise port? Taxi or is there some sort of shuttle service? Then after dropping off our luggage at the hotel, how do we find the Water Taxi? Where is the closest place to get on the Water Taxi from that hotel?

I would imagine we will just need to get taxi's, but want to be clear in my mind what our plan is before that day arrives!! Thanks for any help!:)

Taxi to the hotel. Taxi or walk to the Hilton Marina for the water taxi. It's about a mile or less, so you might want to walk at least one way if you have the time and energy. Just go east on 17th St, bear right at the bridge and keep going straight until you find the water taxi stop next to Hilton and under the bridge.
