Fog in NOLA, did Jewel make it to dock?

Sitting in a hotel in New Orleans. It is so foggy we can hardly see anything.

 

No email from NCL but I wonder if she made it in on time.

Fog on the Mississippi does not stop the ship. Two cruises now have been foggy enough to not see the highway bridge in front of the ship (300 hundred feet or so) , and we cruised at normal speed. It is nothing like Galveston/Houston where they close the channel. You will be fine.

I was thinking of Galveston. We were involved in a 24 hour delay of our Caribbean Princess Christmas cruise so fog makes me wonder.

A Google search of "Norwegian Jewel Location" shows it in port.

It is foggy in NOLA! And this is why you do what OP has done and arrive the day before!

Apparently, Louisiana should teach Texas about dealing with fog.

We have departed and arrived with fog out of NOLA with no issues other than it was weird.
