glituner32 Posted February 5, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2014 Hi, Question, So while on board the Glory 2 years ago I bought a Certificate for $100 for FCV. Future Carnival Vacation. Basically OnBoard Credit for up to $200. My question is I just found this Certificate and it Expired a couple weeks ago. I remember them telling me on the cruise that the $100 deposit I made would be refunded if I didn't book a cruise in the 2 year period. Does that sound right? or does the $100 I paid for just go to waste. Thanks Stan
Harley65 Posted February 6, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 6, 2014 We did the same thing by accident, we called and they refunded our $100 without question. Call the number on the certificate,
HappyAboard Posted February 6, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 6, 2014 Technically refunds are available within the 2 year period, after that they expire and you loose your eligibility for refund, but I can see them refunding it anyway like the previous poster said because I think their are laws against gift cards or certificates expiring in some places now. Out to sea! Posted February 6, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 6, 2014 Just remember, you MAY get a refund. But since it has expired you may not. If you call complaining and griping, you probably won't get a refund. If you call and cover them with honey instead of vinegar, you just might get the refund. Harley65 Posted February 6, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 6, 2014 Yes I agree, I was very polite when I called because it was my error not them, the lady I spoke with was very nice and she said no problem and walla.... my refund was placed back on my credit card
glituner32 Posted February 6, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted February 6, 2014 I will try and call tomorrow. The issue I had was I remember, I even wrote it down. Was when I bought on board i asked them like 10 times if the deposit is refunding even after the 2 years and they said Yes. I thought it was weird so I ask someone else and they said the same thing. n6uqqq Posted February 6, 2014 #7 Share Posted February 6, 2014 You will get your money back, they were sold as refundable. I bet you could even talk them into letting you use it still if you called and said you had a cruise in mind.
