Is there a rental car company that will pick me up at the cruise port?

Enterprise will pick you up and Hertz is about two blocks away (inside the Marriott). Good luck! :)

Here is a link to a list of Tampa Airport car rentals. Call the 813 local number not the 1-800. They should be able to give you up-to-date information on their shuttle services to/from the port.

 

Thrify and Dollar used to have a shuttle that ran very frequently on cruise days. You may want to try them first. National used to but for some reason I remember hearing that they discontinued it. It's worth a few phone calls to save a little $$.

 

There is a Hertz car rental at the Tampa Marroitt Waterside and and Avis at in the Harbor Island location ( 5 min away) If you need to get back to the airport though, there is a $25 flat fee rate from port to airport. The same rate from aiport to port.

We rented a car before and after from Thrifty rental. They took us to the cruise port and picked us up after. They were on time and did a great job. :)
