Legend Dry Dock and Alcohol Package

Hi All!

Just booked a cruise with 11 of my friends for May on the Legend. I just read that it is going into Dry Dock soon and was wondering what upgrades it is getting. Anyone know?

Also my second question is about the Alcohol package Carnival offers now. Does anyone know how much it costs and what it covers? I have read that both people in the cabin need to book the package to get it. However the last RCCL cruise I went on they said this also, but when we got on the cruise we were allowed to buy it for just one of us in the cabin. Does Carnival do this as well? If we wait till on board can only one of us in the cabin buy it and the other not be forced to buy it?

Cheers program is an “All-Inclusive Carnival Cruise Alcohol Included” package deal in the form of a pass-card at the modest cost of US $57.45 per passenger per day(inclusive of the 15% gratuity). Without gratuities, the Carnival all-you-can-drink card price is US $49.95, but most importantly – it includes “almost unlimited” number of alcoholic drinks (up to 15 per day, actually) and unlimited non-alcoholic drinks (both frozen and soda) plus wine by the glass

In regards to the Carnival Legend Dry Dock

Here is the information on the improvements as posted by John Heald (posted on his Facebook jan 10 and I think he may have also posted this on his blog)

"Legend. She will be in dry dock from February 2nd - February 16th. Here is a list of what she will receive.

Water Park , Green thunder Slide – same as Carnival Spirit

Bonsai Sushi Bar on the starboard side of the atrium

Cherry on Top

Red Frog Pub - this will be where Satchmos is now on deck 3 forward

Casino will be reconfigured and new machines etc added

Upgrades to the Gym equipment...

Upgrades to the Spa treatment rooms

Draft Beer systems added to various bars and lounges

2 New Shows including the brilliant Epic Rock

Hasbro the Game Show

Pool area gets new decking etc.
