OceanDreaming2 Posted February 15, 2014 Author #26 Share Posted February 15, 2014 I just got off the Sun three days ago. The Navigation Channel is now working just fine. It was a new $30,000 program, not $30 million, and had a major glitches. They are all fixed now. The captain explained it at our Meet and Greet. Oops - I hit the "M" and not a "K". Traveller20074 Posted May 18, 2014 #27 Share Posted May 18, 2014 that's one of the most important things I could have on the cruise, in my opinion. I would be totally lost without it.

I admit that the nav channel was the second place behind the bow cam channel. Still, I'm very happy they decided on an upgrade/fix.
sparky3w Posted May 18, 2014 #29 Share Posted May 18, 2014 Have to confess I'm giddy about this too. I'm such a nerd. Is that the channel where they play the relaxing music? We leave it tuned there almost the entire cruise. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
medicalma'am Posted May 18, 2014 #30 Share Posted May 18, 2014 I love seeing it too. I just have to know where we are, have been, miles to next destination, wind direction, current, speed, waves, etc. On one of my cruises this winter it was not operational (might have been the Jewel out of NOLA). They explained to us that it was a version that could not be ordered any longer and they had to 'fix it' in house. NCL needs to invest in a new version maybe for all the older ships in the fleet. Barb Nahoumi Posted May 19, 2014 #31 Share Posted May 19, 2014 I hate it when the Navigation Channel shows that we are almost home. Don't like cruise endings.
