Getaway docking question...

Trying to figure out our days in port & am wondering if anyone knows if the Getaway docks or we have to ferry into St.Maarten, St.Thomas & Nassau?

 

Thinking of doing some non ship excursions but read somewhere that if you don't book through the ship you are responsible for getting yourself to & from the ship & island, is that correct? If so, how do you arrange this?

We've done the same itinerary on Epic and we docked at all three ports.

Just so you know, even if a ship tenders instead of docking, the ship will still get you to land whether or not you are on a ship excursion. You are not responsible for finding a boat ride to/from the ship.

Thanks LrgPizza:-) It seemed odd to me that we'd have to figure out the back & forth ourselves but thought it better to ask so we could plan accordingly.

I checked out the port cams at all 3 ports last week and Getaway docks at all 3...no tender.:D

You're welcome. It looks like you're docking anyway, so you'll just be able to walk right off the ship and look for a taxi or walk around or whatever. You will be responsible for getting back to the ship on time, as it will not wait for you.

This is good news. I don't mind tendering, but I prefer docking! :D
