elmojessi Posted February 17, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2014 Looking for a suggestion for a waterfront bar in Key West. We may rent bikes, so it does not need to be close to the port, just a bikeable distance away. When we were in Key West last time, we stopped at Schooner Wharf and had a drink...it was lovely. Looking for something similar.

Looking for something similar. A nice place is right next door to the SWB - Turtle Kraals, especially upstairs at the Tower Bar. It has great views of the Bight. They serve a great assortment of ceviche. Pjk

nessz79 Posted February 18, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2014 Schooner Wharf is on the water near Mallory Square. Outside seating, extremely casual, but nice place to sit by the water.
emcee207 Posted February 18, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 18, 2014 We also enjoy the "After Deck" bar at Louie's Backyard. Fairly small bar but right on the water and nice. Easy bike ride.

To the Op, if you are willing to make the trip (2ish miles), this is an excellent suggestion. The After Deck at Louie's is awesome, and it's very unlikely you'll run into other cruise passengers there. The Sunset Pier is another great suggestion because it's right on Key West Harbor. Just realized you said you were already there. Sorry about that :)
keywester33 Posted February 20, 2014 #8 Share Posted February 20, 2014 Louie's afterdeck is a great suggestion. From there, you can continue on to The Casa Marina for a drink on the ocean at Sun Sun. From there you can go a little further to Salute on Higgs Beach. At that point, you might need a taxi. Ask for one with a bike rack! :-)
