Ms411 Posted February 18, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2014 Yes, there is some shopping, but not as much as in town or Havensight. All the basics are covered.

Saying that it would it be a long taxi ride over to the haven sight side to do some shopping in the early part of morning before a 12:15 excursion from our ship in crown bay.want to make sure we would have enough time to get there and back in time! satbeachbill Posted February 19, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 19, 2014 Why would you pass by the downtown area to shop at Havensight? Downtown has a better selection of shops and all the old world charm.

Same question would there be enough time getting from crown bay to downtown for a couple of hours of shopping and back by noon? Downtown Charlotte Amalie is between Crown Bay and Havensight. It is only about 15 (or so) minutes taxi ride to downtown and you'll have plenty of time. Most of the shops open between 9:00 and 9:30. It is very easy to catch a taxi back to the ship when you re ready. They continuously roll down the main street looking for riders ready to go back to Crown Bay. Just signal to the driver or easily call out to him/her and they'll be more than happy to stop for you.
