Freedom Feb. 8 - 16

I'm not much of a writer so this won't be much of a review. However with all the talk about how Carnival has gone down hill and "cutbacks" thought I would give my thoughts.

Is the Freedom showing her age. Yes, but nothing that realls matter. Had a small (about the size of a dime) spot of rust on our balcany, and the silding door to the sitting area by the bathroom stuck. Didn't see anything else, of course was on vacation and wasn't really looking.

Eat in the MDR all but one night. The food as always was great. Were there some things we wouldn't eat, yes but we just had somthing else. And yes there were table colthes on the tables every night.

The shows for the most part were the same as two years ago. However they were performed very well. And there was a live band for the shows. And although there were D.J's, there were also live music around the ship every night. You did need to either walk around to find it or check the funtimes. As not every performed was on every night and they moved them around the ship. But there was always at least a live performer in the lobby, the casino and of course the piano bar.

St. Thomas-- Meaghan's Bay was great. The shoping area wish now we had stayed at Meaghan's Bay

Antigua-- Went on the Beach Horseback trip. Great time just wished I could have spent more time riding in the ocean.

Tortola--- By land and Sea if not for the 7:30am depart would have been perfect.

Nassau----Well it is Nassau stayed on the ship.

 

All and all a great time. And of course missed out on being home for a 14 inch snow storm.

Thanks for the review.....keeping our eye on Freedom for the spring/summer, and also waiting to hear what she's getting for 2.0 upgrades:rolleyes::rolleyes:

We did this same itinerary on the Breeze last April, and LOVED these islands.....:D:D

Wouldn't mind doing this one again, however, we are itching to go to Aruba, so we've really been watching the Southern itinerary on the Breeze, Freedom, and Liberty.....
