DKF97 Posted February 18, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2014 We will be going on our first summer cruise this year and my kids are asking if the waterslides will be open when we get onboard? On our past cruises it was too cool to swim, so I'm not even sure there was water in the pools that first day.
MichelleChell Posted February 18, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2014 I see no reason why they wouldn't be in June. I would just make sure to have a change of clothes in your carry on or there swim suits. Just in case your luggage doesn't make it till later. snc_cam Posted February 18, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2014 though I could be wrong, I don't ever recall seeing the water slide open on the embarkation day.
BeautifulPlumage Posted February 18, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 18, 2014 (edited) When we boarded the Magic in June, both the slides and the ropes course were open while we were still in port in Galveston. The slides were also open in the other ports, and there were NO LINES because everyone was in port. My sister and I (both of us in our 40's) had a blast on them. :D Edited February 18, 2014 by BeautifulPlumage for further clarification

TeresaJ Posted February 18, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 18, 2014 I recall they were open on the Ecstasy and the Dream on embarkation day. I always pack our suits in our carry on or we wear under our clothes. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Forums mobile app
