Waterslides on embarkation day?

We will be going on our first summer cruise this year and my kids are asking if the waterslides will be open when we get onboard? On our past cruises it was too cool to swim, so I'm not even sure there was water in the pools that first day.

When we boarded the Magic in June, both the slides and the ropes course were open while we were still in port in Galveston.

The slides were also open in the other ports, and there were NO LINES because everyone was in port. My sister and I (both of us in our 40's) had a blast on them. :D

I see no reason why they wouldn't be in June. I would just make sure to have a change of clothes in your carry on or there swim suits. Just in case your luggage doesn't make it till later.

Good idea, plus don't forget the sunscreen.
