American feast - pie

Has anyone had the pie? Is it any good (I know subjective)? Is the pastry flaky? Is it made with lard? Or are they cream pies in graham cracker crusts?

Had the apple pie on the Inspiration over the weekend. My crust was not flaky but decent. I wasn't too thrilled with it because it was STUFFED full with apples. I like my pies to have a bit of liquid in them.

 

It was served by the slice.

I have not yet had the opportunity to try the new menu, but I am reading any and all new reviews of it that come up.

 

I have heard on other reviews that there is apple pie, rhubarb, and blueberry, and possibly others. I am thinking that those would come in a traditional pastry crust.

 

lots on the new menu appeals to me, but dessert options, including the pie do not. But that just me. I wont starve though.

 

I always liked on the old menu, that if didnt like anything, there was always sherbet.

Had the pie every night the blueberry was the best the cherry was the worst. Any pie and ice cream day is a good day!

Are they regular or still sugar free?
