Glfgrl72 Posted February 19, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 19, 2014 Hi. Anyone have any info about visiting the Earthworks Pottery factory and store? Trying to see how much a cab there and back would be and if there is anything to see in the area. We have already been to Barbados and did the full island tour so we are looking for something different this time and I love pottery. Thanks! Musigurl Posted February 20, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2014 You could.......or you could just shop at the pier -- they have a big selection in their store there :)

tuffy0317 Posted March 25, 2014 #5 Share Posted March 25, 2014 You could.......or you could just shop at the pier -- they have a big selection in their store there :) I've been to Earthworks many times, as my Dad used to live on the island as an ex-pat. Unless you're absolutely married to the idea of going to the original, this is an excellent suggestion. A map will tell you the original is about a 20 minute drive, but it can take much longer (as with all things on the island!). There is a small gift shop next to the original that sells Bajan items - similar to what you'd find near port. There isn't much around the store either, especially if you're just there for the day. I've never seen pottery demonstrations or anything like that, so you're really just taking a cab to shop and then leave. I love their pieces, but they are not cheap. Most of the larger, utility type pieces (bowls, plates, etc) start around $30US and go way up from there. One of my favorite pieces is the little dish below which I use as a catch-all for my earrings and watch :) Enjoy!
