sandykr Posted July 22, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 22, 2005 I have recently received (thru cruise critic) an e-mail from an online booking agent. I have already booked the same cruise with an agent (no penalty if I cancel). I am a bit worried about booking online, the price is over $500 less thru the online company, so thats significant. Anyone want to share their experiences? Thanks
Bequia Posted July 22, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 22, 2005 We always book online and save substantially. Haven't had any problems yet. Check as many online agencys as possible for the best price. Most online agencys use the same search engine so you can price apples to apples. It always amazes me seeing the price disparity for the same exact cruise. ;)
alicia68 Posted July 22, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 22, 2005 Just make sure you are comparing apples to apples. Make sure that this new price you have been given is for the same category cabin and includes all charges, non commissionable taxes etc. If it still works out cheaper then call your original booking TA and let them know that you have received a better price and they may be able to match it for you. fodorspeter Posted July 22, 2005 #4 Share Posted July 22, 2005 You might also check out booking direct with the cruise line. Sometimes you might be surprised what kind of deals they are offering. Peter
