superdairyboy Posted February 20, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2014 Ok for you experienced people out there never been to Port Canaveral and want to know the best way to get to Manatee Cove Park on Merritt Island. Our carnival boat stops here for one day and a kayak trip would be fun. just need to get our butts over there with out breaking the wallet. Capt_BJ Posted February 21, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2014 (edited) renting a car for the day gives you flexibility but taxi is also a workable option. The park is less than 10 miles away shop around and you can get a rental for the day for less $ then you'll pay 2 cabs. There is no traffic here to speak of, driving is easy and it is very hard to get lost Edited February 21, 2014 by Capt_BJ
superdairyboy Posted February 21, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted February 21, 2014 hey thanks I found payless rental at the port. are there other right at the port?
Capt_BJ Posted February 21, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 21, 2014 (edited) while Payless IS technically in the port, because visiting Carn ships typically use Carn's usual piers at the WN corner of the port, Hertz and Budget will possibly be closer. But all the rental companies run shuttles and are with 3 miles or so of the port p.s. there are about a dozen different kayak 'eco tours' around here . . . .
