Sailing on the Liberty in May and have heard many great things about the ship. So my question is, what is a must see, must do on the ship? And where is this secret deck I keep reading about?

Feel free to check out my Liberty review (link in my signature). We went to the secret deck for sailaway!

Kelly, if you like a good cover band you have to go and check out the rock and roll band "Music Boardwalk" They are the best band at sea. I will be sailing on her May 9th because of these guys. They are fabulous and I have seen them quiet a few times already. Enjoy.

If you want to spend time by (or in) the pool, and would prefer a quieter atmosphere, go to the "Adults only" pool at the rear of the Lido deck. It's not as crowded or noisy as the main pool (no D.J. blasting annoying music!). There's a bar there, as well as the pizza station, a soft-serve ice cream machine, and a deli (with limited hours). It's our favorite place to hang out on sea days. Fair warning: The wooden deck around the pool gets really hot, so you'll need sandals or flip-flops to protect your feet. If you're not interested in the standard buffet food served on the Lido at lunch time, there is the Blue Iguana Cantina, where you can get burritos and tacos, Guy's Burgers (great burgers and fries!), the Mongolian Wok (the lines can get kind of long, so go early if you can), and the Fish and Chips station, located on Deck 10 at the rear of the buffet area and up the stairs. On the promenade deck (deck 5), just past the casino, is Jardin's Cafe, where you can buy specialty coffees and some really delicious desserts.;)

Will they still be on Liberty for May 17 sailing? Did they set up outside the casino?

The band Music Power last Sept on Liberty was great. We would go just to hear them.

Do not miss Alchemy Bar (best in fleet), Blue iguana cantina (breakfast is great), guys burgers, comedy club, fish n chips, Mongolian wok. We liked the rum bar and tequila bar. The pizza was great as a late night snack after the comedy club. The club gets filled quick so go early for setting.

I would say yes because their contract goes to the end of May. I'm just hoping this will not be their last year with Carnival as Carnival is cutting out the live Orchestras and Cover Bands.

And sometimes they do play outside the casinos but I have seen them in lounges as well as on the lido deck.

You will truly enjoy them as much as you did with Music Power. They are great especially watch their keyboard Audie. He's the real showman of the group. Lots of fun and they all play anything you want. I will be getting off the cruise when you get on. So enjoy them.

...The "secret deck" you are asking about can be found if you go all the way forward on Deck 7. Continue through two sets of doors and you'll be there. Nice place to be during sailaway.

...Also as mentioned before, the group Music Broadway is not to be missed. They play right outside the Casino in the evening and have a large crowd watching and dancing with them each night.

...There are usually lines at the buffet for breakfast each morning. Head over to the Blue Iguana Cantina where they will make you a customized breakfast wrap. There are usually no lines at the beginning of the week, but they will slowly grow as the week goes on and people find out about this. The breakfast burritos are very good.

...The comedy shows, the Alchemy Bar, and definitely Guy's Burger Joint are also places that you should visit. We definitely enjoyed our time on the Liberty a few weeks ago!

I went on the Breeze last year and had a great time on the ship. I'm looking for itineraries for this upcoming summer, and I seem to keep coming back to the Liberty. Does she have a Red Frog Pub, or serve the Thirsty Frog Red?

Thanks!
