ezcruizer Posted February 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 22, 2014 (edited) I am looking to eat lunch on the island when we dock at San Juan Puerto Rico. Is there an authentic spanish restaurant at port or near by that serves a good Paella or Arroz Con Pollo? Thanks. AmyWrites Posted February 22, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 22, 2014 By your title, I thought you meant Puerto Rican fare. If so, Fefo's is very good, and cheap, as well as Cafe Manolin, but it's always crowded. Spanish food.... best Spanish food in PR I think is out of Old San Juan. Stinger-pr Posted February 23, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 23, 2014 There are several restaurants that feature local cuisine near the port. Barrachina is very popular with cruisers and prices are very reasonable. Lots of locals who work at OSJ go there for lunch as well as the mentioned Café Manolín. Raices is another good local fare and it's just two blocks from the pier. If walking around OSJ you'll find smaller restaurants with all kinds of food, including local. There's rarely a bad place in OSJ for local food.
