Amtrak to San Francisco?

I'm planning on taking the coast starlight to Emeryville and the transferring to their bus into San Francisco. There are several stops. Has anyone done this and what stop is closest to the pier most often used by Celebrity?

Thanks!

It may depend on when you cruise - the new cruise terminal is scheduled to open sometime this fall - it is I believe Pier 27 - locals can correct me on that in which case the Ferry Building terminal might be the best stop.

At present most ships use Pier 35 so according to Amtrak's station located they will curb side stop you at Fishermen's Wharf/Pier 39.

That is only a short walk to the boat.

I will ask a local friend of mine if she knows if the bus will drop you off at Pier 35 and/or if they might bring in a new stop when the new terminal is finally open

Hope this helps

Cheers
