rocketlegs Posted February 24, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 24, 2014 I'm flying in at 1pm to MIA and staying at the Marriott at the airport. Would I have enough daylight left to catch the Airport Flyer bus to Miami Beach to play on the sand? Sent from my iPhone using Forums
JohninDC Posted February 24, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 24, 2014 By March, when it appears you are cruising, sunset will not occur until about 7:30 PM -- giving you a few hours of sunshine and sand time. Good luck! :)
eandj Posted February 24, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 24, 2014 You will have time to see South beach, people watch, enjoy a meal and cold drinks etc. Sure go for it. Especially if you haven't been!
rocketlegs Posted February 24, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted February 24, 2014 Awesome! I've never been to South Beach and I'm a bit intimidated that they are very slender, very well dressed. I'm from the great north so I'm pasty and corn fed. What clothing/shoes should I wear to get beach time and dinner?

Tons of tourists roam Ocean Dr. Yes, you'll recognize tourists... as the ones with wide eyes. :D If you are going to the beach and then have something to eat (probably at one of the outdoor spots on Ocean Dr to take in the atmosphere) just take along some kind of sun dress or coverup. Unless you are there in the late hours, mostly you'll see VERY casual dress...short shorts, skin exposing sun dresses, sandals. Don't worry. Just enjoy. I thought it hysterical when during our stay there recently, someone referred to my husband as "Pops". We DID seem to be one of the oldest couples around after 9:00. :o
