Flying in & beach time in Miami?

Awesome! I've never been to South Beach and I'm a bit intimidated that they are very slender, very well dressed. I'm from the great north so I'm pasty and corn fed. What clothing/shoes should I wear to get beach time and dinner?

LOL No need to feel intimidated! Tons of tourists roam Ocean Dr. Yes, you'll recognize tourists... as the ones with wide eyes. :D If you are going to the beach and then have something to eat (probably at one of the outdoor spots on Ocean Dr to take in the atmosphere) just take along some kind of sun dress or coverup. Unless you are there in the late hours, mostly you'll see VERY casual dress...short shorts, skin exposing sun dresses, sandals. Don't worry. Just enjoy.

I thought it hysterical when during our stay there recently, someone referred to my husband as "Pops". We DID seem to be one of the oldest couples around after 9:00. :o
