School holidays - high costs by travel co's

There has been an article on central news about an e-petition now available as parents are going to go against travel companies charging over the odds during school holidays. Some are going to take their chances on being fined to have a holiday in term time, but it could go to Parliament with this petition.

A waste of time IMO in respect of summer.

 

Travel firms will say it's High Season and market forces etc.

 

Different scenario perhaps for mid term breaks in February and October - they just hike prices up then around schools holidays.

 

I'm talking about Scottish schools of course.
