Anybody else waiting to get on the Triumph? We've been waiting at the edge of our seats all day, but the port of Galveston is still closed to fog. Carnival has texted 3 updates so far, but each one is "still closed. Check back in 2h". Will they give up at some point and try again tomorrow? Forecast does not look much better tomorrow.=(

My sister & Bro-in-law are waiting and I have been keeping them updated on what I am reading and for some reason they are not getting the texts from Carnival, but I am....we cancelled this one due to hubby changing jobs, but I think they never took me off the list for text alerts...LOL....They may not be going anywhere tonight.....they have opened up the casino and are now preparing for overnight according to some posts on another site from people onboard.....so don't know!!!

Had that happen to us several years ago waiting for the Ecstasy to dock so we could board. Ship didn't dock until 5:00 pm and we didn't sail away until 1 or 2 am. We won't sail during the winter months any more, not only because of fog, we just prefer warmer weather if we're on a cruise. Hope it clears up soon so you can get your vacation started.
