I prefer Option 1 because...

- Bigger, Better Ship (In My Opinion)

- Better Ports

- Better Price

I prefer Option 2 because...

- Better Length (Yes, 1 night makes a BIG difference)

- Better Departure Port (New Orleans is about a 10 hour hour drive compared to 22 to Florida-we will be driving)

So, which one do you think is a better deal? Thanks!

I concur option 1 would be the one I would personally book. Excellent ship and excellent itinerary.

I just did the drive for option #2 from Missouri. I'd not want to do that 22hour run for a 6 day at all.

Go down with a day extra to nose around NOLA and get a park and cruise option at one of the hotels (We were at the Prytania Park in the Garden district). Park the car and leave it. Use the streetcars to run around a bit. Don't take the kids on Bourbon street but other than that, enjoy the Quarter.

Just my .02. :D

Went to Nassau and Coco Cay last year. We ended up back on the ship in short order.

I would go with the Western Caribbean in a heart beat.

We did a set ski tour to Sting Ray city and starfish beach in Grand Cayman with Ebanks watersports. We had a great time. It was the highlight of our western cruise!
