Colon Port to Gamboa Rainforest Resort

could someone give us an idea of what we could expect to pay for a taxi from the Port in Colon to Gamboa Rainforest Resort?

Also interested in any recommendations for a private guide to take us to see some sights once we're at Gamboa Rainforest Resort. Thanks!

I don't have direct knowledge and depending on how big your group is, I would guesstimate that a fare of $75-100 would not be out of line. Could even be a little north of that figure since in all likelihood the cab would have to return to Colon empty. Here is a little starting point used by a number of people on this board who seemed pleased for the most part with what they received. The last email address (viajesalmiza@.....) is for My Friend Mario which many here have used. He has a web site but I checked it today and it is still offline. I would think the people at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort could provide some assistance in arranging for tours as well.

 

Just the normal disclaimer.... I have not used any of these tour people, it's just to give you a starting point as the search feature on Cruise Critic is not working at this time.
