Adults only on Gem?

We are leaving on the NCL Gem in three weeks. Is there an adults only area on that ship where one can settle down and read without kids running around?

There is a small sun deck on the very top of the ship -accessed from a stairway. It states "Adults Only" (or at least it did on our last cruise a couple of years ago).

There are only lounge chairs up there - and the couple of times we checked - there were a few empty ones.

We plan on utilizing it for sunning. (I don't think there is ANY shade up there, so reading may not be ideal.)

I just read on another thread that there is an adults only area, all the way forward and two decks above the pool deck.
