would like info on Hooks Hut and/or Mambo beach

Are they safe? clean? easy to get to? Can walk there from port or do you know approximate taxi cost? Any snorkeling there?

Hook's Hut is now called Pirate Bay and is behind the Hilton. Very shallow beach (ideal for very little kiddos). Has shower, paid entrance + beach chairs and a beach restaurants (burgers, and such)

Not much sand, so bring swim shoes.

 

Mambo Beach is the same as Cabana Beach/Seaquarium Beach.

Both involve taxi rides, fares depending on size of group or sharing a cab/van. We like Mambo beach. Low cost to enter, decent facilities with food and bars, both served and fast food.
