bread pudding

We had the most delicious bread pudding on a Celebrity cruise before. Does Celebrity Cruise Lines still have this Bread Pudding? It is more like a custard, rather than a bread. We are going to be on the Constellation in a few weeks, and wondering if this bread pudding will be on the cruise. I sure hope so because this was the best food I have ever had on a cruise.

It is at the buffet in the Oceanview Cafe. On the S class ships as you look aft it is on both sides at the end of the desserts. Richard

Just got off Equinox, and they had this pudding in warmers at the end of each buffet line. It was available three times on our 11 day cruise.

Ok, now I'm interested. Especially since I make bread pudding at home. I'll look for this when I'm on the Equinox next month.

I've seen it on every X cruise I've been on recently. The label says "Bread and Butter Pudding" I believe.

On the Summit when I walked through the buffet in the afternoons for a little treat, I always made sure to look for the bread pudding. They often had it in warming trays. A couple of days they had what they called a chocolate pudding which I didn't care for, but I had a few really good bread pudding treats. I wouldn't say it was what I've typically known as bread pudding back home, but it was tasty. The banana bread pudding was kind of a soft banana bread/cake.

I had it on the Reflection in Dec in the Aqua Spa Cafe and it was wonderful, best I ever had.

 

It seems like they made it with scones? Is that possible? I still remember that bread pudding.

I LOVE the warm vanilla sauce they serve on the side.....YUMMY! I will splurge on that, for sure.

Fantastic on silhouette too. you can add chocolate or vanilla sauce. Had to force myself to limit times or I would have eaten it every night.

Thank you so much fellow cruisers. My wife loves this bread pudding as much or more than I do, and we look forward to indulging everyday on our cruise. She is going to try to get the recipe. I told her "Good Luck", but if she does, our house will be filled with the spells of that wonderful food, and we'll probably be fat!!
