When searching on insuremytrip.com how do you pick a cruise as the destination? All is see are options to pick one travel destination? Do you just pick the country you are embarking from? I have always used the cruise line offered insurance, so have not researched outside policies before...

I've had an insurance agent tell me to enter the destination at which I would spend the majority of my time. For example, on a recent South Pacific cruise the most frequently visited destination was French Polynesia though it included several different islands.

 

That said, I usually just enter my final destination/point of disembarkation.

Pick the main destination of your cruise. You may also check with insuremytrip and they can tell you, or sometimes the travel insurer direct will have cruise as an option.

I was just told today by someone at Insuremytrip.com that your destination should be the last port you are in before returning to the US.
